Did you know… in 2007, 32% of Australian cats were over the
age of 8? That’s more than 750,000 older cats living in
Australia!
All cats over the age of 8 years old are considered older
cats. As cats age gracefully, you may not notice any changes
in your cat’s appearance, and you may or may not begin
noticing a few subtle behavioural changes – your cat may be
sleeping more, eating less and just looking for a little more
care and attention in general.
Whether or not you’re noticing changes on the outside, it’s
important to understand your cat is definitely changing on the
inside, and therefore needs some extra care.
