All cats love to play and will spend their days playing with almost anything they can get their paws on - particularly if it moves, wriggles or makes a noise.  

But, like most of us, they do get bored with the same toys day after day, so be sure to swap their toys around regularly. Simple things to amuse cats include paper bags and cardboard boxes, anything dangling on a bit of string that you can wave around, ping pong balls, stuffed socks and another cat! Exercise is important to keep muscles toned and joints flexible. About 10 to 20 minutes of daily interactive play with your cat is a great way to bond and have fun!

No doubt your cat feels special all year round, but birthdays present a perfect opportunity to make an extra fuss and celebrate their big day in style. Here are some tips to help you celebrate your cat’s special day.

Everyone loves getting presents – especially ones that taste great! How about creating a special feast for your pampered puss with their favourite WHISKAS® foods. Or some new toys? Almost anything that moves, flickers or rustles will keep your birthday puss occupied for hours.

But perhaps the most important thing for your cat is to spend some quality time with you. Sitting down together for a pat and a cuddle will help make its day extra special.
